Description

In the past Bureaucros was depicted by a large book with the Cohoris word for Law on it. He was also described in legend as a tall, lanky, green skinned, brown haired, bespeckled Cohoris dressed as a Bureau-crat. That was all before the epic The Siege of Arkleaf. Before the seige Bureaucros was one of the most revered gods in the Cohoris Pantheon, even being named the Defender of The High Council of Arkleaf and being worshipped by non-Cohoris. After the crushing bureaucracy of Arkleaf caused the loss of the siege and the sacking of Arkleaf (which the Cohoris escaped), the Cohoris turned their back on Bureaucros and began to live a life relatively free of bureaucracy. That was until they turned the Tiny Forest of Minuaten into the Sacred-but-Unimpressive Woodpile, when it was realized that Laws were going to be necessary in order to prevent another tragedy. While currently revered, Bureaucros is seen more as a nuisance and has not returned to his former level of status.

In the past a 20 page form signed and notorized in triplicate in the honor of Bureaucros was read out loud and burned as a sacrifice to begin every High Council meeting. Another 20 page form that was signed and notorized was sacrificed at the beginning of every trial. Yet another...well you get the picture. Now a prayer to Bureaucros is said before every government function of the Cohoris but they aren't sure whether Bureaucros hears it as they do not have the proper forms, not that they really care anymore.

It has been suggested that, despite the fact that Lord Greylord was a human and not a worshipper of Bureaucros, Lord Greylord's manifesto Furnocracy was in part inspired by this most organized of deities.
