Bumble Rumble (Part 2)

The Wizbits, Episode 112

Aired 30 November, 1999

Summary

Oh no! Could this be the end for our embryonic Elemenstors? Chased along Waffleberry Brook by the fearsome UberGhast, the Wizbits must make a dramatic last stand at Chuffle County Courthouse. Combining their powers, the Wizbits erect a magical barrier - but how long will it last?

Meanwhile, wandering the Murky Pits to which they were banished last episode, Warchief Bogg and his War Men discover the PlantShaman Amberberry in a damp patch of Fogweeds. Sensing the good in each of their hearts, Amberberry transports the bungling barbarians to Chuffle County to aid the Wizbits in their fight against true evil. But will they prove any less inept when on the side of good?

Criticised by many fans for the 'cheesy' scenes between the War Men and Amberberry, the episode nevertheless represents one of the few occasions that real depth is given to the characters of Bogg, Toasty and Knuckles. This episode is also notable for a scene where Wizbits Skip and Penny bond while saving a family of birds from the UberGhast's clutches. It is uncertain whether this would lead to a romance - unfortunately for many 'shippers, this subplot seemed to be forgotten after the temporary removal of Skip from the show. This hasn't, however, stopped several works of fan fiction being dedicated to this possibility.

Moral

Warchief Bogg: Hey...ah...I know I'm not used to standing up here and doing this. But anyway, ah, kids, even if you find that you've done some bad stuff before, you always just have to follow your heart. I mean, those Wizbits--sometimes they really roil my boils! But when it comes down to it, no matter how much I might have disliked them in the past, I still did what I knew in my heart was best. And I think that's a lesson everyone can learn.

This was one of my favorite episodes. I especially liked Warchief Bogg. I remember recording a subbed version of this episode off of PACartoons when I was little. To show the folks who haven't seen the show just what they're missing, here's a bit of the really witty dialogue you get from the Warchief in the Murky Pits:

I don't know about you, but I'm looking forward to the first season DVD boxed set. - R.S.
Wow! Great quality screengrab R.S., it makes me wish I hadn't taped over my videos of the show's original run. Seeing that pic brought all my old love for the Wizbits back, can't wait to rewatch the remastered versions on DVD... - zih5442
