Brewer

In Battal, it is said, a Brewer is a Small God.

Using a magnificent alchemy, Brewers are able to turn simple barleys and yeasts into ale and mead. The most talented Brewers are able to create more complex alcohols, such as Bahkar'D Ohn Feephtae Ohn. These magical brews give their drinker a variety of powers, such as The Hefty Bladder and The Ability to Voice Every Thought that Passes Through Ones Head. However, if consumed in excess, they can cause nasty side effects such as headache, unintended wenching, and death.

Alcohol is the single most consumed liquid in Battal, even more so than water. As such, the popularity a Brewer enjoys should come as no surprise.
