The Battal Toad is a distant cousin of the Battal Frog.

The distinguishing characteristic of this wart incrusted hideous looking amphibian is that it has two very unusual natural defenses. The first and far more disgusting of these are the projectile warts.

The small stone like warts that grow on the back of these toads are able to be shot forth with great force. the toads have been known to knock small mammals unconscious with this attack.

The second defense that the toad demonstrates is a natural hallucinogen that it secretes from its skin. This second defense has made them popular as pets to people who enjoy this sort of thing, Making the Battal toad the most popular pet of teenagers in the world quickly followed by the Obscene Slug

Any Mage or Elemenstor that takes a Battal Toad on as a familiar has a 50/50 chance of either developing the ability to shoot disgusting stone like growths at others or being able to be stoned whenever he or she chooses.
