Arthak's Blade of Incontinence

Originally thought to be one of the most powerful swords ever forged. It was later revealed (through a small reference in Book 5) that Arthak's blood rampage wasn't because of the magical power given to him by the sword. Instead it was the result of Arthak's constant need to find new places to relieve his bodily emissions and people not letting him into their bathrooms for obvious reasons. Little did Arthak know that his incontinence was not the result of a hereditary condition but from the sword. He did not find this out until his sword was stolen by Globas the Constipated.

By the time of The Rise Of The Elemenstors, mention of Arthak's name (and blade) was relegated almost entirely to the realm of crude insults, especially when dueling. An example of this can be seen in Book 6, when Doric mentions Arthak while taunting a foe.

One common mistake is to refer to this blade as Arthak's Blade of Impotence. Indeed, amateur storytellers and writers of fan fiction (especially of the erotic variety) often speak of Arthak's blade as though it impacted male sexual performance rather than the more mundane function of relieving oneself of waste products. However much it may appear in fan fiction, however, Arthak's Blade of Impotence is strictly non-canonical.

Gragnakas actually made the sword so that Incontinence would be doled out to whomever the wielder wished, it only defaulted to the wielder whenever it switched hands. After Selent lost it in a poker match to Arthak, he neglected to mention this.
