The Arildi

The Arildi are a migratory species of six-legged armadillo (unlike the Quilp, they use two of their legs as arms rather than the Quilp's four). There is no recorded capitol of Arildi society, however they are well known for the paths built out of thick Arildian shells at Mount Proudsummit in the Beutrafficades.

The Arildi are born with thick shells on their backs, which protect them from various monsters. It has also made them natural friends with the Quilp, who use the shells for protection from themselves.

Arildi have no set religion, but a rather a set of superstitions. There are hundreds, of which most have been recorded in Rakash's List of Arildi Superstitions & Favorable Dining Locations Across Battal. The Arildi also have many legends, such as Human Day (based around the Quilp holiday of that name) and the many tales said to have originated from the Brothers Glib, two legendary Arildi storytellers.

Through the Quelemendi Council, the Arildi have long worked with the Quilp in the constant development of the ever-evolving board game of Quelemendi.
