Ap'str'ph' Mountains

The Ap'str'ph' Mountains refers to the range of mountains stretching from the city of Ch'th'lm in the north, to L'fh'ik in the south. The range is south-west of the Wang Mountains, and sits in the south central region of The Shield. The highest peak sits atop G'nth'l, at the southernmost point of the range. The Ap'str'ph' mountains form the natural eastern border of what was once the kingdom of K'th'ith'h, and in the range's western shadow roll the perilous waters of the Sw'ftfl'w River.

The mountains are generally avoided by travellers, not because they are dangerous or difficult to cross, but because all the landmarks in the region have generally unpronouncable names. Likewise the range is largely inaccurately charted by cartographers.
