<< Bob | The Sword that Makes A Sort Of Ting Sound When You Hold It Up To The Light>>

Felo-de-se, Anguished Scimitar of Wrist-Cutting

By the time Gragnakas forged this blade, he was losing motivation. Would he ever finish Selent's commission? Would he ever see his family again? His doubt and depression was sapping him of the will to carry on, and so he forged this blade of steely resolve, wrapped it around his torment, and called the blade Anguish.

Over the centuries it has been called the blade of Necrosis, The Shade of Death, VeinSplitter and other names. This sword was once wielded by the great Blade Master Jeremuth Swiftkill, the protector and lover of Lady Sporath, the High Elemenstor. Together they roamed the world dispensing justice and wisdom, and soon word of their virtue and generosity spread. All who heard of their coming rejoiced, all of course except for the enemies of Justice and Truth. The Dark Elemenstor Korbrin Terribluth hated the goodness and awesomehood that the Duo championed, and sought a way to bring about their end. He hatched a dark plot, and whilst cackling madly he put his plan into motion.

Korbrin sent a false missive to Lady Sporath commanding her presence, alone, at a tribunal before the High Elemenstors. Seeing no possible treason in the message, she journeyed to the tribunal, deep in the vast darkness of the Black Forest of Much Blackness, but being the powerful wielder of...power that she was, she had no fear. Sadly, possession of at least a token amount of fear would have been preferable in this case, for when she reached the very center of the forest, an over-whelming number of War Men burst from the trees, horribly eviscerating her, before she had even a small chance to use her powers or familiar. Accounts contend that she did in fact call forth her familiar, however they doubt it helped. Her familiar was well known to be a saucy talking shoe horn named Tammy, who could drive almost anyone insane with its inane chattering, but there's no question that it would have been smashed into powder before uttering any of its powerfully stupid speech.

Jeremuth, waiting at home, became concerned when she did not return, and began to track her journey. Using his great ranger abilities, he managed to walk to the very spot where Lady Sporath had met her demise. Sadly, the War Men were still hanging around, having nothing better to do. Although he slew many of them in a fit of rage, he was eventually overpowered and killed.

Any who touch the blade are immediately gripped by a powerful depression and sadness, due mostly to the revelation of how ridiculously easy it was to trick the Duo into getting themselves killed. Most who feel this, turn the blade upon themselves, sawing desperately at their tendons and veins, hoping to end the tragedy that their lives have become upon learning this tale.
