A chapter of The Temptations of the Bix the End Table, and other tales, this appears to begin as a list of people to be killed slowly, but then digresses into narrative, and eventually gets side tracked into a fully fleshed out tale of Tower Spiralstair and Cutter Glade traveling across the Mardath Highlands, in search of the Scrolls of the 18th Level.

Gabe's hairdresser, that man in the grocery store who paid with a check, the doorman in front of the... the.. The door swung open revealing a man whose dark outline was unmistakably elvin, even when only seen in silleutte.
