Albin 'I'm a Wizard, Honest!' Garment

Albin was not in fact a Wizard at all. Having failed to meet the proper standards for wizardly, chief among them being tireless windbaggery and curmudgeonly haughterity, Albin began an ambitious disinformation campaign proclaiming that he was in fact a bonafide wizard.

Finding that he had a talent for minor Magic also completely disqualified him from Wizardry. After mastering a small set of card tricks and other novelty performance magics he turned his agile mind to a way to make a buck. Figuring that he could capitalize on his already growing reputation as a Wizard he started The Quick n' Easy School of Magical Studies, although if one were to read the fine print on ones diploma one would discover that they were not a Wizard, but a Whizzard.

Even after being famously berated by the Wizard Mardrangion, Garment still continued his grift, making a somewhat respectable living on the infamous Battal lecture circuit and dipping into the coffers of his school, which he left largely to be run on a day to day basis by his nephew Baffien until the day that he mysteriously disappeared.
